Vivaldi - Address Bar Question

I have used Vivaldi for sometime and use it with the settings set as "simply" as possible I also realise there are people who like Vivaldi as it is highly customisable.

My question is that if I type in the search bar, as an example Ebays address which for the uk is www.ebay.co.uk and press enter if I have an Ebay page set as a favourite Vivaldi will automatically go to that page , despite me only entering the basic address of Ebay. If I clear all history etc the same thing still happens.

If I delete the Ebay favourite and don't have any others set for Ebay the browser will go to www.ebay.co.uk

I am just using Ebay as an example here but it applys to other sites as well. Is there something in the settings I need tochange to stop the above behaviour ?

My question remains the same. I have given screen caps as an example. In the first capture I have entered the basic Ebay address but when I press enter key I don't get the address requested I get the address of one of the Ebay bookmarks for Ebay which you can see below the address bar "Genuine Seal", the only Ebay bookmark. If I delete the bookmark and try again I get the basic ebay address which I requested in capture one. There must be a setting to stop Vivaldi automatically selecting the bookmark !

Many thanks for your post, this has solved my problem. I changed my settings as shown in the attached capture. Perhaps a bit extreme in the changes I made and I might try and tweak them later, but you solved the original issue.
