How does browser determine default email ADDRESS ?

    How does browser determine default email ADDRESS ?


    So every once in a while I browse to a website and then somehow later on start getting email from that website without agreeing to anything. I am assuming that somehow a script on that webpage ran and somehow pulled an email address off my system. Does anyone know how this works and how to block it ? It may be just on Edge, but could also be on Firefox.

    I never experiences this. As a first step I suggest to set automatic deleting tracking cookies when switching off the browser. If you keep your browser standard open, just close it when not using it.
