Latest Vivaldi Stable Download Size !

The latest stable release of Vivaldi 64 bit from their website is a whopping 104 MB !
I realise that it includes Vivaldi Mail etc, but even so.

If we were in the old days of dial-up it would take 6 hours to download . I know this because at that time I was downloading Acronis which was just over 100 MB.

Well I downloaded it in just a few seconds.

Also I've just updated the standalone version on another machine and it didn't take long at all.

Anyway for me Vivaldi installer is 104 Mb to download.

That doesn't seem too bad compared with say, Librewolf.

In reply, the latest version of Vivaldi downloaded in only a few seconds even though I am only on ADSL. It would only have been a download of about 40mb to update my current version, but after download I occasionally get the UAC shield flashing in the taskbar which I did today. I don't click allow so the download doesn't instal , instead I download the full installer to instal on top of my current version.

I don't get the UAC shield flashing very often but do get it sometimes with Edge as well which is annoying.

I see. I for me the manually initiated update installs the new version. I only ever download and run the installer after a profile backup if there's been a buggy release that broke something. It's happened a couple of times.

and a new build or release of Vivaldi gets almost immediately released to fix a buggy build.

I've received a few buggy updates in the past so I always have a profile backup. It's not just Vivaldi but buggy releases in other browsers too.
