    Youtube's "Show Transcript" Button "moved"?


    My web browser is Firefox 118.0.1 (64-Bit, stable release channel). youtube does as the alphabet soup company does without caring for our general opinion on changes, not just adding and removing new features, but shifting the buttons for existing features around. usually when i watch a video, i click on the ... button and click "Show Transcript" so i can see what the text is on certain included captions, but lately, they made it so when you click on the ... button and click "Show Transcript", it opens the description tab and shows ANOTHER "Show Transcript" button, and that is the one that opens the transcript now. That's dumb, tolerable-ish, but dumb

    is there a userscript out there that somehow undoes that and makes the "Show Transcript" button in the ... menu the one that opens it, or not?

    It seems to be a new feature. I'm sure that, over time, the first button will redirect to that box, without that extra unnecessary click. I'd just wait it out.
