    Backing up everything of Edge?


    Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3324)

    Hi. I have read a number of websites, suggesting similar copy-and-paste methods, i.e. just copy the whole directory of "AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data". and paste it somewhere else, then overwrite the destination folders, every setting and everything of Edge will be restored. I have some questions regarding this.

    1. Can it be restored perfectly to another computer, probably with another version of Windows 10, or another generation of Windows? e.g. Windows 7 or Windows 11? Could it lose anything?

    2. Can it be restored perfectly to another version of Edge browser?

    3. Is it just as simple as that? I remember that I saw a tutorial, saying that some registry have to be modified, copied, or exported, however, I forgot to bookmark and I am not able to find out the link now.
