    Email forwarding to multiple recipients

Until, recently, out lawn bowls club used a service provided by 123-Reg (our web-site provider), in that an email sent (by anyone) to a specific email address in our club's domain (not sure of the terminology here) would get forwarded to a pre-defined set of club members' email addresses - we have only two sets: all members, and players. Earlier this year 123-Reg pulled the plug on the service, and we are looking for an equally simple alternative.

    Any ideas? TIA, Martin

    Mailchimp comes to mind.

I find the name pretty funny. LOL

And just to let you know, other hosts may have the feature you're looking for as well. Check out webhostingtalk.com for some ideas...

Sendgrid may be another, but I don't care for the owner company Twilio...

Last month, Lawson joined more than 140 tech engineers, entrepreneurs, and investors by signing a letter voicing opposition to a Trump presidency. Other signees include leaders of companies like Box, Betaworks, Google, Tinder, and Reddit.

This is because most if not damn near all of tech and IT are left of center. I see the crap on a day by day basis... If you're on board with that then have at it.

Their code I have to use on a day by day basis drips of BS, lets just put it that way. I'm looking at you Mozilla, Brave, Google, Microsoft et al. This is a real problem. Even WordPress is full on stupid in the moron department...

    And latter on...

    Yay Biden politics!

These people are so full of shit.

    Anyway... LOL

    Edit-

About Box. It's a shit baked pile of crap in a box. And the fact the Air Force uses them is a massive mistake.

    Edit 2-

Several years ago I tried to use Sendgrid and their validation and whatnot was a real pain in the ass. Pissed me off.

Thanks, but something that requires everyone involved to sign up for it is not simple in my view. Ta anyway, Martin

Thanks - considered that some time ago, but the free option only allows one 'seat', so the mailing list would have to be duplicated for each user (sender).

Had a look, a lot of rather old discussions about free hosting that went over my head.

I am minded to create a free domain, and then see what Free Email Forwarding | Forward Email can do (discovered yesterday). If I try their DNS edits on our current domain, I may mess everything up and won't be thanked for it. Anyone recommend a simple to setup free (temporary) domain provider?

    I found this:

    - I've not read it fully, but it sounds like they did what you want.

Thanks - just had a look, and it needs one to verify each email address, to confirm that one 'owns' it - which is not the case for my situation. So All my recipients would have to verify it, and they won't like the bother. But thanks for looking. Martin

Well, I have done some tests: I registered a domain with names.co.uk (free initially, although I had to give my CC details - have to trust them), and signed up with forwardemail.net to control the forwarding. The latter supplied instructions on what to set on the domain DNS setup (all new to me), but in 'next to no time' I had it sorted. As I now have a domain I control (?), I will test it some more, then tell the other users who need to know (secretary etc) how to send emails to all. I don't, and probably never will, have a web page associated with the domain. The name is more 'snappy' than our current web page (so less to type).

As an aside, to test it I had to add my three email addresses to the forwarding list, and necessarily when I send a test message to the list, I send from one of those. Forwardemail sends me an automatic email to warn me that the account I sent from may not see the forwarded email, due to some funny business with "Message-ID" values. It appears this only happens with gmail for me - Outlook.com and mail.com are fine.

So for the moment, question answered! Thanks to all. Martin
