I know Microsoft Edge has a lot of features, but is it normal for the size to be like this? consume 1.6GB for 1 application

That's not memory (i.e. RAM) in your screenshot, it's drive storage space... and that's not a lot in terms of the 1GB drive you have.
If you prefer another browser and don't use Edge then I would prevent Edge from autoloading in the background from logon because it does use a lot of memory (RAM)... although your laptop appears to have lots.
Have a look at Edge Blocker. It's small, free, portable and very easy to use. Just make sure you read the instructions and set an alternate browser as default before enabling Edge Blocker.
(I prefer using this rather than uninstalling Edge because I never know when I might need Edge's Webview2 components in the future.)
If you do want to uninstall Edge then Geek Uninstaller is as good a way as any IMO.
