    Firefox ESR slow?

For those of you who are running Firefox or Firefox ESR, do you notice any slowness in loading most webpages?

Currently running Edge, and it’s speeds compared to Firefox is like day and night.

Edge is great because it seems to be a lightning fast browser, but thinking about switching to Firefox as my daily use due to Edge constantly adding more and more features that I don’t even need to use and the settings pages are very bloated as well.

I've switched to Librewolf instead of Firefox and have used it for some time now without issues.

If you test it bear in mind that if you don't like to keep things private then you'll have to poke some holes in it. Settings can be adjusted, you can import custom css (userchrome.css) and override any setting by editing librewolf.overrides.cfg.

I’m using Firefox ESR and can match up the privacy settings just like it is in LibreWolf. No problem as it is not filled with a ton of not necessary settings as opposed to Edge.

For anyone using Firefox, do you notice any speed difference between Edge?

Yes - also have noticed lower cpu with Edge. I recently embraced the dark side and now keep FF and PaleMoon as rarely needed secondary browsers.

FF fails me completely on very long pages- just hangs for a very long time.
It's also much less capable with videos, making basic streaming of full-screen videos impossible compared to Chrome or Edge.

nope. no such issues on my end; not even the ones that dalchina is getting. mostly running FF 115.1 ESR & 102.14 ESR (haven't updated these to newer releases yet)

Typically it's best to back up your profile and then clean install Firefox ESR (including removing leftovers and existing profile).

    ESR 102 I’m using.

But anyways, Edge is much faster and despite all the nonsense added features I’ll disable all those and switch to Edge.
