Odd behaviour of Windows Live Mail

    Hullo.

Sometimes when I open Windows Live Mail, I briefly see a new incoming message, only for it to disappear without trace before I have a chance to open it.

The message does not go into junk or Spam.

Perhaps Live Mail is filtering out certain messages; how can I can check this?

    Thanks

Maybe a possibility that something accidentally set up new emails to get redirected to a different folder other than your Inbox folder. You can try this:

    1) Click that icon
2 & 3) Set today's current day for both entries (the day you see the email arrive and disappear)
    4) Search

This will search for every email that has arrived today to your email address.
Hopefully you can figure out where the emails are going...

    Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately I think your post refers to Windows Outlook not Live Mail!

    I apologize; you're right.

I tried looking for videos on YouTube to do something similar to my previous post. I think there's a way you can search for all emails received within a day's range in all your folders.
Sorry I don't have the Windows Live Mail application to take a look at how to do it...
...maybe someone else here knows about it.

If your using an adblocker it's an ad showing before the adblocker has a chance to block it. Close mail, turn off your adblocker, and then reopen/reload mail. The ad email should be there.
