Before you continue to Google - new Google sign in?

First thing I get after launching Edge is a Google pop-up "Before you continue to Google".

    Problem:
    a. I may set cookies preferences as many times as I want, they are -not- saved
    b. when I use the [Sign in] button within the pop-up,
or, after setting cookies preferences (pop-up disappears) sign in the normal way
when relaunching Edge, this "Before you continue to Google" shows up again.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Do you have an option to clear cookies on closing the browser set?
Is a block set for any type of cookie?

For comparison you might try a different browser.

    Thanks! Solved. You are right.

    I found it... cookies indeed.
In edge://settings/clearBrowsingDataOnClose "Cookies and other site data" was enabled.

A short while ago I was in there, seeking a way to 'safeguard=protect against cleanup' cookies from specific sites.
However, one has to add URL's one-by-one. There is no way to 'import' those from a file (favorites file) or from bookmarks.
So I let it rest. Forgot to re-disable that option again though. Sigh...

    Thanks again!

    Thanks for the tip!
