How Can I See Version Of Chromium That Is Installed In Edge ?

I realise Microsoft Edge recently had an update to version ending in 51 but according to a Youtube channel when the update was first released it did NOT include the chromium specific security updates until later that day !

As the stable number ending in 51 has not changed how do I know if my machine has been updated with the specific chromium updates that were made later in the day ?

UPDATE Microsoft Edge security fixes finally released - YouTube refers

I may have misunderstood the video see my later post. Sorry

Is this what you are looking for ?

Copy & Paste the following command [ ALL at once ] into a CMD Prompt and press Enter.

    Code:

    PowerShell "(Get-Item (Get-ItemProperty 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\chrome.exe').'(Default)').VersionInfo"

You could also use Get-Package, Get-wmiObject, and wmic to get the same answer.

    I hope this helps.

Listening to the video again several times it would seem that the Chromium security updates were included in the update as per normal, but not added to the release notes until later in the day. Do you agree ?
