I have decided to stop using Google Advanced Search.
to avoid this problem. If I have the time I might format
and re-install Windows 10.

No need to reinstall the OS. Check about://flags for http to https flag enabled.

In addition to what @bro67 said, you should take a look into internet settings -> advanced in control panel and make sure TLS 1.2 is not disabled.

I have decided to stop using Google Advanced Search as my homepage since this is the cause of the problem.
