    This is really old thread and not answered. If you still are looking for a solution, I have found a very simple one. In the download section right click downloaded or still progressed file and report is as a malicious one. It will not be reported, not to worry. A website will open to fill the form, at the very top of it there will be displayed full url of the download. Copy it and close the report website

    Good luck!

    Three years later, same bug... same clever workaround!

    Clever!!! Thank you for suggesting this simple but effective workaround!

    Three years have passed since your post --- and unbelievably the same bug STILL exists in the latest version of Edge (97.0.1072.55 as of this writing). So your solution remains very useful!

    People at Microsoft support must be asleep --- or maybe someone there has decided that people should be enticed to use Edge based on its MISSING features??? (-;

    Hello and welcome to TF ,

    Ugh what a pain to get the download link.

    Why bother using Edge then? You don't like any of the other alternatives?

    I find it best to be flexible. Yes, I use other browsers as needed. Mostly Firefox, but others, too. Even --- in some special cases --- the old Internet Explorer. Given that I support other people's computers, I have to be ready to handle whatever they have on their machines.
