Microsoft Edge Promotional Messages On Homepage

It is becoming annoying that a popup message appears on Edge homepage asking if I want to link Edge it to a smart phone and there are sometimes other messages too.

When these messsages appear there doesn't seem to be an option to stop them completely. Just an option to not show that particular message again or not to show it for a week.

Is their an Edge setting I can choose to stop these messages ?

You can try to disable this flag:
    Code:
    edge://flags/#edge-show-feature-recommendations
Then there are some policies:. Run CMD as admin and copy/paste:
    Code:
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge" /v "PromotionalTabsEnabled" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge" /v "ShowRecommendationsEnabled" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge" /v "SpotlightExperiencesAndRecommendationsEnabled" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f

Because you are no longer using msn .com or bing .com.

Change the Home page. I have used about:blank for decades, but use whatever you like.

Edge > Settings > Start, home, and new tabs > When Edge starts > ...
    Home button > ...

Then go to the Privacy section and check out all items, commonsense is all you need to toggle On/Off items.

Microsoft is dead set on pushing ads for their own products and services. This just started this week. No way to get rid of it.

That is not a ad. In order to get the most out of Outlook, you have to pay for M365.

LOL of course it's an ad. It even says "Ad" next to the sender's name.
