Suggest you search - or maybe ask in the Google Chrome community.
And have you tried searching Youtube?
More on updates:

There isn't an easy simple Settings option apparently.
Thanks I will do that...
Other options:
- completely uninstall it, install an older version and block updates.
- use a recent System Restore point
Thank you fror your reply.
To be more exact- it tells you what will be affected- that varies per restore point.I don't want to use a restore point casue it affects everything.
If you have a recent one, and the update was recent, you might be lucky and find nothing else is listed.
Depends what updates have been done. Store updates don't matter- they would just get redone.
I believe that was covered in a link I posted at the start.Just don't know a realiable place to get the last version
Otherwise use e.g. Google and look for a valid site.
I don't have a restore point and I am about to build a new system so installing an older version of Chrome and disable auto update would be perfect for me. I've googled for prior versions and wasn't able to find a site I felt comfortable with.
As far as the link you sent me to be honest it was all greek to me. I still plan on googling for a video that shows how to do it.
Thanks for your help
