Can you downgrade Chrome?

There's a hint below: look for an msi file on your PC that corresponds to an earlier build. You might be lucky..

Easy way to do that: get a free 3rd party search tool and search for *.msi - in
C:\Windows\Installer

Open a command prompt.

To downgrade to the version that you last manually installed using the MSI file, enter msiexec /fvomus GoogleChromeStandaloneEnterprise.msi ALLOWDOWNGRADE=1

Otherwise, enter msiexec /i GoogleChromeStandaloneEnterprise.msi ALLOWDOWNGRADE=1

When you click this button... two things will occur. A web page will open and the download box will open on your desktop.

Ignore the web page that opens and in the download box on your desktop... SAVE the download to wherever you like. Do NOT click anything on the web page... the web page looks fishy to me.




This is an offline installer.
I would do this...

1. Export your bookmarks and save them to a storage drive. Then unhook the internet.
2. Uninstall Google Chrome
3. Install this, then import your bookmarks.
4. Then do whatever is need to block updates. Then rehook the internet.

Note: It looks like you have plenty of storage. You should probably be using backup software.
Then rolling back... is easy as pie.

If you've not used 3rd party backup software before, I would try AOMEI Backupper Standard, first.

Check out 3rd party backup software.
It really makes problems like this... easy to deal with.

For example if some update from Microsoft or anyone, breaks Windows or one of your programs, you can just restore from a backup to fix the problem. You can even access your backups, when Windows won't boot.
