    Question about intercepting search engine

    Hi all,

When I search something in Chrome, some other search engines, usually Yahoo and sometimes Bing, intercept my search.

In a Chrome settings, in Search Engine section I set my search engine as Google, and in section "Manage search engines and site search" I have removed all other engines, and left only Google.

Nevertheless, when I type anything in a search bar, Yahoo logo is displayed on a top right corner. If I click a little "house" button in Chrome, it sets me to a Google search, but I don't want to click a "house" every time I want to search.

I have Windows 10 and my chrome version is 112.0.5615.138 (Official Build) (64-bit).

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello, March.

It sounds like a browser hijacker. I would suggest a scan for malware.

This may be of interest to you.
