Moving Outlook emails from old computer to Outlook in Win 10 system
Hi! For various reasons, I need to move hundreds of old Outlook emails (in the sent-mail folder on the old Vista computer) to my newer (Windows 10) computer. Moving them one at a time is too slow, so I am sending them in batches. I select them all and then use "Forward" on Outlook on the old computer, and they come to the new Windows 10 computer as one gigantic email, with an attachment for each of the original sent emails inside it. I can then save them to my computer in a new Windows folder, and read each e-mail individually, but it's very cumbersome, because *all* the messages now have *the same date* -- today's date -- and therefore they are no longer in the order they were in the original Sent-mail folder. To find out what date each e-mail was originally sent, I have to open each one individually. This defeats the purpose, which is to be able to look them up in their original order when needed.
Ideally, I would want them to go into my new version of Outlook on the Windows 10 computer, and just seamlessly merge into the sent-mail folder there, finding their correct date order. But I know of no way to do this. I can only save them all as set of files in a new Windows folder.
Does anyone know a way of either (a) getting the old Vista Outlook sent-mails to slide right into the new Windows 10 Outlook sent-mail, in chronological order? or (b) at least, if they have to be saved in a new Windows folder (not Outlook), of getting them to show up within that folder in the original date order?
