Hi
For some reason over the past month i have been getting over 100 spam mails a day in my Hotmail 3 weeks ago none
I had several MICROSOFT TECHS remote in adjust settings in mail still no luck last year no spam at all
My question do third party SPAM blockers really work, or will they be eating up my CPU like PAC-MAN ?

Spam can only be blocked at the servers not your desktop. Everyone is getting hammered by spam at this point and cannot do anything about it.

I'm not getting hammered, maybe 3 a week but i just keep blocking them !
Next time you block them try letting the email server run till it has time to identify them !

I also get spam emails, was getting very few up to around ten days ago.
Then 50 to 100 or so a day but they very each day.
I don't use Hotmail, I switched to outlook.com email when Hotmail was phased out.
No way to stop them, let it run its course.
I would not add a third party blocker, it won't work anyway.

Open your Email Account with Webmail. Select Junk Emails. Right click > Report > Report Junk.
That will eventually train the Outlook/Hotmail spam filters.
