Can't get Youtube to show videos in Chrome

Maybe this is the wrong forum for this question - but I must try: I can't get Youtube videos to play in Chrome - but I can get them to play in MS Edge. I've tried all the suggestions from Google but none work. I've also installed the latest version of Chrome. Don't know how to update the video driver. Perhaps one of you folks have run into this problem and has found a solution. Thank you.

In Chrome, open an Incognito window (3 dots -> New Incognito window), and try to load a video on YouTube. Does it work?

(since a YouTube video works in Edge but not Chrome lead me to the initial assumption that there may be some add-on or extension in Chrome that may be interfering. An Incognito Window, I believe, prevents from any 3rd party "addition" to load with Chrome)

Ditto on that. Also see if videos play here:

    Invidious

Going Incognito didn't work - but, Invideous did work. I also suspended all my extensions and Youtube still didn't work. How do I distinguish an Add-on from an Extension? Also, when I open TenForums, it opens in its' own window. I don't recall it ever did that before.

Load this checklist video in Edge: How to Fix YouTube Videos Not Playing on Chrome - YouTube
(I'm assuming you did at least a few of these steps, since you stated you tried other suggestions earlier)

I've tried all the suggestions from Google but none work.
Did that include deleting cache and cookies in the browser?

I haven't gotteen to this suggestion yet - but, I've shut down half my Extensions and, now, I get the voice of the Youtube videos - but still not the video. Thought this clue might help.

Hmmm from this, this may sound like your computer is running low on memory when trying to load a video.

Try this: Close every application that is open on your computer. Make sure to save your work in applications that are important and whatnot. Run Google Chrome all by itself with one tab to YouTube. Play a video.

Also, take a screenshot of this part of your Task Manager

I shut down everythingCan't get Youtube to show videos in Chrome-task-manager.jpg except Chrome - but left my many tabs open since I don't know how to restore them. I have 16GB of memory. Here is the screenshot you requested. I have had more tabs open and several apps open at the same time and not had this problem. I've now disabled all the extensions that I don't really need - the same problem.

Why are so many versions of chrome.exe open at the same time? Does each one represent a tab?
