Microsoft Edge 111.0.1661.41 / Automatic HTTPS setting blocked

Anyone else notice this change to Microsoft Edge 111.0.1661.41?

Settings / Privacy, search, and service

"Automatically switch to more secure connections with Automatic HTTPS" is blocked if experiments "Automatic HTTPS" is enabled.

While it doesn't explicitly state it here, it does seem to imply that HTTPS is now the default, but not forced.

Has anyone found any better documentation regarding this?

Yeah, I have the same thing.

Firefox has the same thing. It's all just a fallacy though. Whether your connection uses TLS or not means little in so many ways. Of course you want it, but some people seem to think it makes the website virus free or some stupid crap.

Often times websites and their owner never bothered to install a TLS certificate in the web server. Now you have to use an insecure connection. Does it mean you';re all "vulnerable" and whatnot? No...
