Removing discover button in latest Edge

    So I found this :
You can do it via registry change - add the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge
    DWORD: HubsSidebarEnabled
    Value: 0

then go to edge:\\policy and refresh policies.
I tried it but get a Status error and it doesn't work. Others say it works like a charm.

I don't believe it, I just realized I had a space before the HubsSidebarEnabled
Thanks everyone, sorry I wasted your time.

I just came looking for how to remove the "Discover" button too. It's huge.

The Option 4 reg file worked.
Add or Remove Sidebar and Bing Toolbar Icon in Microsoft Edge Tutorial | Windows 11 Forum

As mentioned, it also disables the sidebar and grays out the settings. I don't use the sidebar.

By the way... I didn't have to reload policies (edge://policy) as mentioned on some sites.

Grays out the settings? You mean opening from the 3 dots?

    Also, something minor I noticed.

Prior to making registry changes, there is no "Edge" key below HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft
That was created to accommodate the "HubsSidebarEnabled" DWORD value.

So, the default user choice reg file should really remove the "Edge" key instead of only removing the "HubsSidebarEnabled" DWORD value.

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge]

Either way works. But if you want to set the registry back to how it was originally, then that is an option.
