    Paul,

Can you write anything to that flash drive?
Write failure is a fairly common fatal fault in flash drives. Whatever you had previously written to it might remain readable for decades.

I don't know what you mean by "Move website from browser to flash drive. I have done this many times by click and drag .".

    All the best,

OK Denis Here it is ! ! !

I use my flash drive for offline storage . When I get a website I want to save , I do a split screen with my browser and my flash drive (brought to the folder I want to save it to) . I high lite the web address (from the browser) and drag it to the flash folder I want to save it to. I've done this before with success but the other day I got a error message that said "Media is Write Protected"
    I couldn't move it ! ! !

Is there any way to save this web address , offline to my flash drive . I'm using Windows 10

    Thank You Paul

    Paul,

Unless you have added some exotic utility to your computer, the procedure you describe will create a .URL shortcut in the folder you drag it to. You are not copying the website but only a link to it.
You get the same result by dragging the padlock icon on the left of the web address.

You did not mention whether or not you can copy anything else onto that flash drive / whether you can right-click in it & select New, {anything} to write a new file to it.
I'm expecting the answer to be that you cannot write anything to it.

    All the best,
    Denis

I didn't add any exocit utility or not exotic

I tried the the padlock drag and that didn't work either. My flash drive has a bunch of web addresses I've been saving instead of having a huge Favorite list , now it does not work anymore .
    NO I can't get that to work . I can't open a new folder .

TNX For your response Paul Windows 10

Thanks everyone , I just fixed the issue . My flash drive is toast ! ! ! When I put my computer together I bought two flash drives with the components . I just put the other one in and no problem .

    Thanks again PAUL

    I do the same.
I assume you realise that you can put them in a folder on your internal drives instead.

I'm glad the problem has been resolved,

TRY3 I Have Another Problem Maby You Can Help Me

Hi TRY3 : You got me to thinking about my storage and I found that my flash drive is mirrored . When I go into FILEHISTORY I keep seeing files and folders that go on and on. Could these be taking up space and can these be deleted ?

    Paul,

    I never use File history.
There are several tutorials on the subject including

    All the best,
    Denis

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]
