email photos not showing

ok the last couple of days when i go into my email and check for the ebay watched items i do not see the photos. yesterday i was able to just open another tab and they showed but not today.

the last things i did was remove what one website called annoying ads

so is this why all of a sudden the photos are not showing? also the other day i got another update so that may be the issue as well. a month ago i got an update and it messed with this pc so bad i had to do a restore and then go thru half of my passwords again when getting on my regular sites.

i can go back into that link and undo all of those things i changed but yesterday after i opened the new tab everything worked i just as soon opt out of as many B?S annoying ads as i can but if one of those setting is messing with my email photos then i have to turn that one back on.

any ideas if it was the update or turning off the items for ads?

update all of a sudden the photos started to show so does anyone have an idea why it took them so long to just start showing? i went back in the trash and they were showing there also, so maybe this is a yahoo thing?

Most emails such as like from online suppliers wont contain the actual image but a link to the online image, if that is taken down you'd lose the image. If you delete your internet cache or temp files you'l lose the local copy of the image which if still live online should reappear.

i know if i delete the cache that will most likely fix it but i was hoping not to have to do that because then every place i visit i then have to redo the passwords or have them send me codes to get back into the sites. lots of extra work. i was hoping the issue may have been due to me going in and turneing off some of those privacy items. if i get that issue tomorrow i will go into the privacy settings and put them back and then turn off one at a time and see what makes the photos in the email stop showing

Have you tired opening your email from a different browser? From my experience, updates can cause such annoyances, but the same issue should not exist everywhere.

i think i have this figured out. i took the u-block and deleted all the actions and had to redo some. one of them must have blocked the photos in the yahoo email from ebay.

one thing that got me was all of a sudden in the last few day when i was in ebay and wanted to bid i would click the bid now button and a popup window comes up but would not go any further and would not let me bid. i never blocked that. it was not adb or popup blocker or u-block as i uninstalled them and still had that issue it did that in firefox edge and chrome. i installed firefox and chrome and it still did it. so i had to do a reset on both pcs that had this issue and then it finally went away.

i did not have any restore points i had that turned on but the pc did not set any points on either pc. so after the reset i did them manually for the first ones and now i will do a manual restore every saturday morning. on both of them.
