What Mail App Do You Folks Like And Use ? (W10)

    Hello,

Have the native mail application called MAIL on my W10 pc.
    Really don't like it.

Had to reinstall W10 after a power glitch, so this is probably a good
    time to ask this.

Anyway, it won't accept what I believe is the Comcast Password that I set up initially.

What Mail App do you folks use ?
    Caveats ?

Would I have to try to get it use what I believe is the original Comcast Password,
or can I setup and use a new one ?

    Much thanks, Happy Holidays,
    Bob

    Bob,

Is that password possibly for your Comcast account itself meaning that you need to set up a separate password for each mail account set up within it?

    I use & like Outlook 2007.
But they changed the user interface in later versions and it's now nowhere near as good.
So if I finally had to abandon the good one I'd start searching using these links
I understand that these email clients are well-regarded:-

    Merry Christmas,

I use this app. Every time I get an email, this mail letter tray icon shows me that I have a new email.

Then when I press that tray icon, it opens Google Chrome to Hotmail.

    Nice and simple.

I use Poppeeper (free/paid for) - also tray icon- scans multiple accounts, configurable notifier.
I use that for scan on demand and periodic scan/response.

    I also use Thunderbird.

If I read an email in Poppeeper I
    - can delete it
    - reply (Thunderbird opens)

Both are integrated with the same SPAM filter- Spamihilator.

On the Win XP era I use Outlook Express. It had everything I needed and it came along with Win XP.
When I assembled my i7 computer on 2011 I installed Win 7 and for my surprise, there was no client email.
I've tried many email clients, as Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird etc. The main problem was that they were not compatible with Outlook Express data files or the address book couldn't have folders (Family, companies etc). The only option at that time was Outlook.
So I bought Office 2010 SB with Outlook. The problem was that Outlook couldn't import Outlook Express data files (unbelievable).
What I did was to install office 2003 with Outlook on the Win XP computer, use the Outlook 2003 to import Outlook Express data files and generate Outlook *pst data files and then use the Outlook 2003 *pst files on Outlook 2010.

I don't like Outlook. It is complex, has much more applications that I don't need or use, it's hard to configure and the *pst data files are huge (many G). The main problem with *pst data files is that (for what I know) cant be imported by any other email clients.
If anyone knows a client email that can import *pst data files, please let me know.

There is OE Classic - Replacement for Outlook Express . Have never used but seems good.

@Megahertz - a long time ago ... when Outlook Express met its end - I seem to recall I used
MailStore Home - Free Email Archiving & Backup for Home Users

to migrate from one client to another.

Now it mentions .pst files, and migrating - You could experiment...

Outlook 365 desktop app. Been using Outlook since my days in the military and still use it (and Office) now.

It's my Calander, Contacts, and organizer.

    Thanks Dalchina.
I have just google "import outlook data file to Thunderbird" and it seems that now it's possible to import *pst files to Thunderbird.
I also have seen that Thunderbird address book can now have multiple folders.
