    Firefox Browser

This morning when I tried to open Firefox I only got a small screen at the bottom of the screen. In other words it will NOT open full screen. All lother browsers are working fine.
After trying to get it to open full screen several times, I finally just uninstalled it using Revo Uninstaller. I then download a new installer and reinstalled it. The same problem existed. Right now I have totally uninstalled it.

I use this browser almost constantly. It stays on about 10 hours a day (mainly playing pool on facebook). Does anyone know an easy fix for this problem?

    Thanks

This sounds like your Firefox profile is corrupted. You can test for this by creating and opening Firefox with another profile. Do this by running the Firefox Profile Manager.

Open a command prompt, or the Winkey+R Run box, and type: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p

I've seen it to work if the window Title Bar can be click-dragged to the top of the screen and just as bar is about fully off I get a flash and release the mouse, becomes Maximized. Might also try F11 or Fn+F11 [whatever yours is as you show Win7 in My Computer] to get Full Screen [different from Maximized] but won't get some of the bars/menus.

I am going to re-installed Firefox and from youtube.com says pressing the F11 key might make it go full screen.

Bree I will also try the Firefox Profile Managaer if the F11 key does not work.

Well I installed Firefox again (got the installer from Firefox) and have the same results. Will NOT open full screen. I tried pressing F11 and that did NOT help.

Bree I tried: Open a command prompt, or the Winkey+R Run box, and type: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" and that does not open full screen either.

I am at a loss at the moment. This is not happening on my Win7 PC.

When I have opened Firefox and right click on the Firefox icon in the taskbar I see this:

I don't see anything help here. Maybe someone else will.

    thanks

Which version of Firefox? I'm on 107.0 on Win10 Pro 64-bit and get a bit different right-click of the Taskbar icon:

I went to the Firefox support page posted my question. There was only one response and here it is:

Firefox stays on Window mode I think this is the same as my problem.

So every time I open Firefox, it starts at Windowed mode, not in full screen mode. Right clicking the shortcut to select maximized in the Run section does not work for me. (Mine does not even show a way to maximize the screen) I would have to double click the top bar every time to get it to be full screen (this does not work for me or I am doing it wrong)

As I said before nothing I have tried seems to work..

Nearly all Windows-based programs have a Help item on the menu bar and an About that gives the version of that program.

    You missed out the -p

This doesn't open Firefox, it opens the Profile manager where you can create one or more new profiles and chose which to use before opening Firefox. I suspect it is your current profile that is the problem. Try a new profile and see it that works normally.

    Are you sure about that?

After uninstall you need to manually check for and delete if found:

    C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

Replace "Username" in the first line with your account name to find your profile folder and delete it.

You then need to reboot. (Important)

Only then should you download and install a fresh copy.

Your system spec says "Windows 7" and doesn't state if that is 32bit or 64bit.

So get the correct one from the FTP Download Page:

    (32-bit) Directory Listing: /pub/firefox/releases/107.0/win32/en-US/

    (64-bit) Directory Listing: /pub/firefox/releases/107.0/win64/en-US/

Don't know how or why, all of a sudden it started working as it should.
