Look in the Customize Toolbar section...

If it's there... just drag it up to the toolbar or url bar

Small search does not appear in the my customize screen.

    Ghot,

No search appears on my FF customize screen. Mozilla is like that. A function that worked fine for years, they change, not smart.
Any suggestions. I guess I can go back to an older ver of FF??

I'm on 103.0.2 and I still have it. Maybe a setting or something?

This maybe... (in Tools > Settings or in... about:preferences)

My search setup looks like Ghot's in post #4. I have always had the added search bar in the toolbar. Still there in v.103.0.2

It is not shown there after you have dragged it onto your toolbar.
The customise screen just shows those remaining functions that you might choose to add not the ones you have already chosen.

Small search field showing up even when selected

    Hi,

Small search field showing up even when selected. Ive been using Firefox ever since it was introduced. Never ran into this quirky situation.

Below is an image illustrating exactly what I did & what was the final result. Something is going on somewhere. I have followed all suggestions from this forum & you guys deserve all the THANKS I can give you.

As Denis said... what's hidden under the >> arrow at the right end of the tool bar?

Might be easier at this point, to just completely uninstall Firefox (and it's leftovers), then do a clean install.
REVO Uninstaller is pretty good for that.

Don't forget to export your bookmarks to a different partition or drive, first.
