    Weird problem with Easyjet website

Here’s a really weird one for you that’s driving me bonkers !
I can log in on my Windows 10 (21H2) laptop to Easyjet with my username, password and booking reference – I am recognised and so is my booking.
But on the page reached, not a single link will work – i.e. add personal information, add hold baggage, boarding passes, etc.
None of the links at the end of the page either – e.g. help, contact, etc. - and it won’t even log out !
Every other website in the world is absolutely fine, it’s just Easyjet.
I am using Edge but I have also tried Chrome and Brave to no avail.
I have cleared cookies and cache but that makes no difference and all my software is up to date.
It will work via any browser on my android tablet and the android app works too so I am not blacklisted.
It has been like this for a number of weeks.
Presumably some hidden setting must have come into play that I am completely unaware of and cannot discover.
I am using Kaspersky Internet Security if that is relevant but their own community forum had no answers.
You have helped me in the past with a few problems, thank you, but this seems like a real tester !
I really hope you have some ideas.

    .

Disable Kaspersky and activate Windows Defender to see if any diference.

Could any extensions are adblockers be at fault ?

It doesn't work for me either unless I change DNS. As all browsers are affected it could be your DNS server lookup settings in Windows especially if your phone works okay on the same wi-fi network.

So using Cloudflare DNS that site doesn't work correctly. (For me that is).

Change IPv4 and IPv6 DNS Server Address in Windows

Try changing DNS and see if you can find one that works.

On the other hand that might not be the problem but just check anyway.

Callender :- That's all a bit technical for me, I'm sorry.

csun :- I will try that, I was thinking of scrapping KIS anyway.

This morning I was unable to log in to EE on Edge, said things not working come back later (same for 2 days)!
    But no problem on Chrome.

Seems something wrong with Edge or KIS or both.

No problem with my Easyjet Account all links work, and I usually use Edge or Chrome. Just checked with Edge and Chrome a few minutes ago.

In Edge Browser to make sure of cookie deletions go to 3 dots > Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage & delete cookies and site data > See all cookies and site data > search for Easyjet and make sure of deletions.

3 dots > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Tracking prevention > Balanced.

"But on the page reached, not a single link will work – i.e. add personal information, add hold baggage, boarding passes, etc.
None of the links at the end of the page either – e.g. help, contact, etc"

Look for settings for Links, Popups in your Browser and Security applications. I don't use Kaspersky but there must be some setting for such things aimed at dodgy links/popups etc.

I doubt it is a DNS server problem, FWIW I use Google Public DNS or whatever the ISP one is in the Modem/Router settings.

Helmut : "I have cleared cookies and cache but that makes no difference and all my software is up to date." - see post #1.

Also "Presumably some hidden setting must have come into play that I am completely unaware of and cannot discover." - also #1.

I have been thro' everything with a fine tooth comb.

I am leaning towards KIS being the culprit but can't see why it's just Easyjet - that's the real puzzle.

So I tried using my company's remote desktop (terminal server) and it uses on older build of Windows and it's own DNS.

Anyway I had the same problem with EasyJet using Firefox or Vivaldi but Chome worked.

It only worked if I accepted "all cookies" and I didn't get a prompt to allow cookies in Firefox or Vivaldi most likely as a result of installing addons like "I Don't Care About Cookies" and both browsers also have built in tracking protection.

So it could just be browser configuration.

So just my opinion, if using DDG use this page instead:

    Code:
    https://start.duckduckgo.com
Then apply settings and use the bookmarklet as the home page or bookmark it as a search page.

Then you get consistent results without having to enable/ disable certain settings every time it's used.

Callendar : Sorry for delay, been snowed under with other stuff.

Followed your last post, went thro' settings again but don't think I actually changed anything.

However, today I managed to sign in properly to Easyjet for the first in months.

So thanks, and lets hope it stays ok in the future.
