    FireFox v.103.0.1 update fails

the update to v.103.0.1 has been failing for a couple of weeks now. Strange behavior. It downloads some, updates, downloads some more, updates, repeats, and finally fails. No help from Mozilla for some reason. Nothing wrong with v.103 on my machine, but FF keeps asking to update. This has happened before, but the issue has only lasted a couple of days and then update would work fine. ???????

Export your bookmarks to a different drive. Uninstall Firefox with REVO uninstaller (free). After you uninstall Firefox, before exiting Revo, make sure you scan for left overs, and delete them as well.
Then do a clean install of Firefox, and Import your bookmarks.

Download Revo Uninstaller Free - Remove unwanted programs easily

Some FF tweaks you may want: Firefox... taming the beast part 2 !!

Every now and then, Firefox starts getting gummed up. When that happens, it easier to just do a clean install.

I copied the bookmarks to another drive (USB) and downloaded the latest version from Mozilla manually and ran the installer. When checking the version in the help button, FF would state v.103 and display the radio button to download and install v.103.0.1 which would fail as before. Then a second FF tab would open with a download button. Doing that got a new download which I ran successfully, but it still showed v.103 and offered the download and install option again. I ran CCleaner and did a restart of the system. When the restart finished, I launched FF and the version was 103.0.1 and was declared up to date. Still clueless, but at least I won't get the stupid update popup for 103.0.1 anymore. The next version will probably be out this week!

Here's where to get the latest version...

Download the Firefox Browser in English (US) and more than 90 other languages

Right on cue, FF prompted for an update to v.103.0.2 today and the update from the help screen failed again. The subsequent download popup installed, but the version didn't update on the help panel until I ended all FF tabs and did a system restart. Updated version works fine.
