Problem with Microsoft Edge - Settings - Profile - Passwords

In Microsoft Edge, when I go to Settings, Profile, Passwords, then click on the icon to show the password. The password does not become visible. Edge freezes. Clicking on anything just dings and I have to end the task.

That is on my Desktop. On my notebook, it asked me to sign into my Microsoft Account, then it worked. I don't see that option on my Desktop.

How do I fix it?

UPDATE -

I've found that the freeze is not permanent. It last for about 60 seconds, then I get the popup window asking me for my Microsoft Account information. That's on my Desktop computer. On my tablet and Notebook I get the popup as soon as click on the view password icon.
