    Internet Explorer will be retired and go out of support on June 15

    At the moment IE is still accessible on W10.
    (At least, that is to say, Search Internet Explorer comes up with it. But press it and one is taken into Edge.)
    Within IE, one used to be able to set key preferences like "Do Not Underline Links" and (elsewhere, but referencing IE) "Underline Icons consistent with my Browser".
    Will all this stop?
    Just noticed this minute. It looks as though Internet Options is accessible directly, offering the same options as from within IE. So maybe all is not lost?
    As a kind of supplementary: what will actually occur on June 15? Maybe an Update that invisibly deletes all instances of, and all references to, IE?

    Please note that Internet Explorer will not be removed. It will remain installed, to support legacy apps, just as it is on Windows 11. That is, IE will be altered so that it cannot be easily launched (running iexplore.exe will redirect to Edge). Applications and scripts that use IE via COM, will continue to work as usual.

    If you want to launch IE, you can do so using a simple script such as:
    Code:
    Set oIE = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application")
    oIE.Visible = True
    oIE.Navigate "about:blank"
    Change "about:blank" to any web address ( that is IE compatible). Save the script as LaunchIE.vbs (or similar).

    BTW, when Edge is running in "IE Mode", it uses IE (which in turn uses MSHTML.dll) to render the page. You will see iexplore.exe in the task list when viewing a page in Edge IE Mode. IE Mode, is therefore, not available in the Mac or mobile versions of Edge.

    IE support will end on June 15 on most Win10 editions except on the Server & LTSC editions in which IE will continue to function on those specific editions after 6/15

    I volunteer for a not-for-profit organisation that has a security system remotely viewable only through Internet Explorer with a proprietary plugin that only works with IE We have been using MyIE9 with the plugin for several years.

    I have seen similar posts in other forums.

    Not sure, but don't think so. Was managed by Chubb but all gone now.
