    Curious about website trackers

I have a personal website and I am curious as to why someone who visit my site get over two hundred trackers after he closes the website.
Who puts these trackers coming from my website on there?
I certainly did not have them installed.
Would it be my host server?

    Hi.

This might help explain all the nuances:

10 Ways to Measure Website Traffic - wikiHow

    Now who hosts your website?
    They can explain this better.

    Here's another good explainer:

What is Internet Tracking? (and How To Avoid Being Tracked) - Choose To Encrypt

That appears (to me) as a lot of tracking for just one website visit!
    Are you really sure?

Thank you for the quick reply.
I am an old gaffer, and all the articles on wiki look like Greek to me.
My host server is Bravenet Web Services
I was just wondering why my website would apply trackers when my site has nothing to sell or need to know anything about visitors.

    Information.

Your website statistics = money (very small but it all adds up.)
I would contact them as to why there are 200 per visit.

Why is the ISP analyzing your visitor's habits in such a way - or is someone else?
There should be an internal log on how many "hits" you get and from what IP addresses.

It seems that they are not happy with the fees they are charging you and make extra money on your behalf, by using some kind of wrapping technology on your web page...

Since DNT has been deprecated, there is not much more option than using third party browsers extensions and AdChoices or WebChoices when available.

It is unfortunately in the hands of the client to manage his tracking settings, not yours...

But If you are in fact paying good money for their hosting services, you are entitled on a good explanation on what is going on with that...

I just looked at your Web Hosting company.

Seems that they thrive on Analytics.

    This is the best way:

One key thing is gdpr if people get tracking they can do a gdpr request which you must answer in 28 days telling them all data you collected fail and you can get a massive fine
