    Weird Duckduckgo search issue

I recently noticed a weird issue using DuckDuckGo. Don't know when it started. When I conduct a search, I generally click on the scroll bar and use my mouse to scroll which works great. I can scroll down the list of search results and stop but if I use the direction arrow to go down I immediately am sent back to the very first search result. I can use the arrow to go up with no issues and the problem does not exist with Google. Not a big issue but just curious as to what is happening.

    Hi there!

I am using the latest builds of Firefox and Edge - no problems.
    What browser are you using?

You might want to clear everything in your Browser Cache, then restart the Browser and test it again.

Using Firefox 100.0.1 4 bit. Would think that if it was a Firefox issue then Google should also have the problem. I think the problem would be in Duckduckgo search engine. Browser is cleared after every shutdown and Ccleaner ran daily.

    @anaron -

While you could Reset Firefox, I would tend to let it be until the next version is released.
    It's just one website, correct?

Compumind, it does not do this on websites. It only does this on the Duckduckgo search results list.

Callendar, does the same thing in
    DuckDuckGo — Privacy, simplified.

Please try this - It's a real long shot.

The AppData folder is a hidden folder.
First, exit all running programs. press WINDOWS-R on the keyboard to bring up the Run window.

    1. Type %TMP% and then click OK.
    2. Delete the contents of the folder that opens up. Then close it.
    3. Start the Browser and check.

Some entries are locked and cannot easily be deleted - this is normal, just let them be.

    Post back.

    Thanks.

Other than launch firefox in troubleshooting mode or clean installing firefox all i can think of is to remove any duckduckgo entries from added search engines then relaunch firefox and add duckduckgo again.

Then consider testing a new profile to see if the problem remains:

Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles | Firefox Help

Kind of funny. That was my next step if the AppData trick didn't work.

Does the OP have DuckDuckgoLite, as well?

If so, I would remove it first to test.
