%TMP% did nothing to fix the issue.
    I do not have DuckDuckgoLite.
Removed and replaced Duckduckgo as an added search engine but did not fix the issue.
Tomorrow, I will set up a new Firefox profile and see if I can replicate the issue.

None of your suggestions have changed anything and today I have found additional problems that are really irritating. If I go down the search results list to any website, open the web site, exit the website then back at the search results page, I can mouse scroll down but if I hit the down arrow, I am taken back to the search results beginning and must start all over scrolling down the list. I think that I will totally uninstall duck and reinstall and see if that works.

    @anaron -

    Hmm.

At this stage I would just Reset Firefox. Remember to export all of your Bookmarks and Favorites.
Make note of all your Browser Extensions if you should have any.

    This will assist you:

Reset or Refresh Firefox browser settings to default in Windows 11/10

You could also backup your existing Firefox Profile and restore it as well:

Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles | Firefox Help

Only reinstall Browser Extensions if all is well and one at a time so you can test.

    Kindly advise.

    Thanks.

Also just to rule out problems with Windows you could test portable Librewolf (Firefox Fork) because it uses it's own profile.

See if you get the same problem with that.

    Releases . LibreWolf / Browser / Windows . GitLab

    librewolf-100.0.1-1.en-US.win64-portable.zip

Extract the files and run it. Try a duckduckgo search and see if you get the same problem.

    To test:

In addition to what @Callender said, you can also use Tor Browser.

    Just FYI.

That is quite annoying, I'll bet.

Curious, have you tried this in Edge or another browser?
Additionally, do you have Java on your system. If so, when was it last updated?

Bing, Vivaldi, Firefox, Edge & Google Chrome all work perfectly with no issue until I add the Duckduckgo search engine and the issue then exists on all 5 browsers. Just cannot find anywhere in the Duckduckgo settings to correct this. Had one of my Grandsons to do the Duckduckgo add-on to his Brave browser and he had similar issues. Do not have Java installed.

You've mentioned 4 browsers. Bing isn't a browser so what other browser are you using for that?

Anyway again I'd suggest removing DuckDuckGo (delete vie search engine settings) and if you installed the Duckduckgo privacy essentials extension then uninstall that also.

    Then visit

Mycroft Project: Search Engine Plugins - Firefox IE Chrome

    Try adding that one.

    Hmm... The Rosetta Stone?

I have three ideas. Please follow one at a time and check functionality...

    1) Click on this in Firefox (or other Browser) and check each setting (with emphasis on Scrolling) - you can also RESET all settings to defaults (best way):

    DuckDuckGo Settings

    2) Completely clean your Browser Cache in every browser installed on your system.

    3) If the above ideas do not work, contact them and explain your issue:

Contact Us | DuckDuckGo Help Pages

    Post back and advise, thanks.
