I think they are rolling this change in, so not all accounts on one day.

Is there anyway around this as my main invoicing software is linked to my gmail account but today it no longer sends from this.
I have too many customers logged via this software to switch to another so hoping there is something i can do.
I'm guessing not but thought id ask just in case there's a workaround.
    Thank you

    Thank you for your reply.

It's a one-off procedure. Once set, the App password you get from Google via 2FA then works as you are accustomed to using it.

This applies both for clients which don't offer sign in with Google, and for others.

Yes dalchina solution is the best. Use an app password.

If you turn on 2FA be sure to get and record your 10 Backup codes.

You might also check if your gmail account still has the setting to allow less secure apps. (slightly below the option to turn on 2FA) Using this might get you back in business quick but please consider it to be temporary. This option will no doubt be removed. Google threatened to remove it May 30th so they are getting serious.

Brings us full circle, dalchina's solution is the best.

the less secure apps setting is gone
    - exactly as expected ... so you can proceed to obtain an "app password" from Google..

My "Less secure app access" is still present on an account I use for training. Interesting rollout strategy. I'll bet some people will think they are in the clear and then one day it will stop working and they will have forgotten the gmail was making this change.

I agree with rolling in the change but even at 10% of the base per day they should be done.
