    ublock origin

can someone tell me what ublock origin is the best one that works? when i type ublock origin i get 3 maybe 4 listings. and i have tried 2 of them and they are not working.

i have foscam cameras and i did a firmware update on 2 of them. after they rebooted and i used the search tool to turn them on i get a popup that ells me to download a new search tool. so ok i download that new app and the same thing it tells me to download the new search tool. it did not do this in the older firmware but now then i updated the firmware foscam will nto let me go back to a firmware that did not have this dam popup.

so i open ublock and it will not let me pick that popup i attached here. it does to do that for all the cameras only the 4 cameras that got the latest firmware in the r2m cameras. now that may not make any sense for the cameras but i had ublock and it was removing them but i had a few elements that i was=nsed to get back and i could not get them back so i remove ublock and reinstalled it and now it is not working.

i had this one time before and someone here said there is one ublock that works and the rest were copycats and did nto work. so maybe someone can hook me up with the correct working ublock.

    thanks.

i had ublock people tell me how to edit the app to make it work it seems some programs are now trying to evade ublock. i expect he will fix that issues real soon. thanks

I thought UBlock was only for Internet browsers popups... Seem I have some reading to do. But it is a very feature.

i use it to block things like in email the added nonsense at the top of the email and in ebay at the top and some items that popup in web pages also. it is really handy. but for some reason on my cameras, i did a firmware update and for some reason when i tried to open the camera i got a popup that wanted me to down load a new search tool for the cameras. and it popped up even after i downloaded that tool. when i reset the cameras and open them for the first time i get that same popup but after i download and open the search tool that goes away. it is something in the foscam new search tool that is not seeing that it was downloaded. anyway ublock is a handy tool

It doesn't block it for me with many filters enabled.

Anyway if it's this that you want:

    Here's the direct download link:

I don't know. You'd need to post the link to the page that the pop up appears on.

I just searched and got this link:

you get the nes search tool when you do a firmware update for the r2 and r2m cameras that is over 2.71.2.58 or 2.91.2.66

they did some type of security patch and then took away the ability to go back on the newest updates. if you had .58 or .66 you could go backward.

if you use the search tool to open your cameras in the older foscam app then when they get to the UN and PW that popup shows up over the input fields and you have to either download the new search tool or x out. but the issue is every time you open the camera with the search tool you get that popup.

the first is what you see when up use the search tool and that popup covers the UN and PW
the second is the data fields for the cameras

Run firefox with ublock and any pop up blocker extensions disabled temporarily.
