    This was my favorite.

Before it was Firefox it was Phoenix.

    Some initial thoughts on Vivaldi:

    1. Uses a lot less RAM
    2. Is fast but can be better
    3. Needs some add on's
    4. Still a bit buggy.. not as refined as say, FF or Chrome

Overall, a nice start and I hope to see a really good browser in a year or so.

That is not true, in my case at least Vivaldi uses almost twice as much RAM as for instance my default Maxthon or IE. I have been interested in Vivaldi from the day it was released and tested this quite often with various browsing scenarios.

See the below screenshot, click it to enlarge. Yellow = IE, Blue = Maxthon, Green = Vivaldi. All browsers been on about half an hour, for test purposes I have all this time browsed exactly the same way using all three, opened same pages in all of them:

Good information and thanks for the update on that. I was originally just comparing Vivaldi to FF and not to either IE or Maxthon. Seeing the results you posted shows that both IE/Maxthon use less RAM than Vivaldi.

I do not use Firefox, never liked it, that's why I can't compare it. Anyway, in every scenario I have tested IE uses at least third less RAM than Vivaldi.

I have never really like IE and to top it off I took an online class and the grading/coding tool they used would not work properly in IE so we had to use either FF or Chrome. When Spartan(or whatever the final name is) comes out I really want to try it out and see how good it is so I might not have to install a third party browser from then on.

I was just reading an article on ghacks.net.
People were talking about the Trash Can icon.
    What does it do?
It's the recently closed tabs repository.
    Thanks Edwin. :)
