Microsoft Edge Runs Slower than What I Expected
Microsoft Edge was running fine, but now Microsoft Edge is running slower than what I expected. It still happens like that. I do not understand what caused Microsoft Edge to run slow. I tried resetting Microsoft Edge, and it did not work. I tried reinstalling Microsoft Edge, and it did not work. I tried disabling the extensions for Microsoft Edge, and it did not work. I already did enable the hardware acceleration for Microsoft Edge, and it did not work. I even erased the cache, the browsing history, and everything else in Microsoft Edge, and it did not work. I already gave some feedback to Microsoft to stop making Microsoft Edge run slow. How can I make Microsoft Edge run faster?

Hello
Okies, go into the Edge settings where you can modify the permissions and privacy for websites.
What i do is disable 'JavaScript' and disable 'Images' from being show on ALL websites.
Then, which ever websites you want to go to, just add the website address individually to the javascript and image settings for each site security permissions.
That will speed it up alot
Good luck

@DeriLoko3 -
Please go into Edge and clear all sections in History.
After that, place the following the address bar and type the following:
edge://settings/system
Please post a screenshot of System and Performance as well as Optimize Performance.
It's the first two categories on the screen.
Thanks.

Hi DeriLoko3,
Is there any reason you have Hardware acceleration and background applications disabled ?
The first one will force rendering on your CPU instead of on your Video card.
The second will make Edge stack up some tasks if they are not completed upon closing application. And restart them next run.
Ex: If I don't open Firefox on my Server for 8 months, When I will open it It will start to run all the maintenance accumulated since... and result in a 20 minutes High CPU and Disk activity before it cools down... Sometimes I just Kill the maintenance process...
Chrome has the same kind of "Tool" that sometimes gets out of control.... So I believe Edge makes no exception.
I would Start by Enabling Hardware acceleration and troubleshoot problems if needed...

Hi.
Any improvement?
Otherwise, it's probably not a browser issue.
If it is still slow, you need to check your internet speeds and also see how many application CPU processes are running in the background.
We can go from there.

I clicked from-tab-to-tab, until something caused Microsoft Edge to run slow, as far as I can see. It was not an Internet issue. Also, it was not the other programs that caused Microsft Edge to run slow. It was Microsoft Edge itself.

Microsoft Edge also freezes, even when I clicked from-tab-to-tab or let Microsoft Edge load something.

Any chance you have blocked msn.com cookies? Have you tried browser reset?
