Sent emails arrive with extra gibberish making them unreadable

In BT Mail and Firefox , there is lots of gibberish arriving making the sent text unreadable, help please.
This is what I typed in the email I sent
“Roald Amundsen was a Norwegian explorer who led the first expedition to the South Pole in 1911 . He reached the North Pole in 1926”
Below is what arrived and shows in the sent tab

Basically it is because you have copied and pasted a Word document which contains hidden control characters.

Try using plain text e.g. from Notepad.

Alternatively use an email attachment of the Word Document.

Or setup your Email Account with a client like the Windows 10 Mail App.

I see you have asked on the BT forums as well.

My issue has been resolved by changing to plain from rich text when using Word Docs.
