You've accidentally clicked and dragged the bottom margin line up.

Mouse over the line under the last email, double-headed arrow should appear, click hold and drag down.

TB post & Win Ver #

    Hi,

Thanks for the TB blank space help. It was my fault because of the "low contrast thin grey line" is hard to see esp when
you are 82. Today, 'NO' web developers follow the W3C or Yale Style Manual rules of the INTERNET by Tom Berners Lee because they aren't not Kool or Trendy. As long as you reach 1-2 std derivations, you're find. The rest of the people don't count, let them drink the Grape Juice.

You may already know this, but the empty space is filled with a 'preview' of whatever message you have highlighted in your list.

You can turn this off permanently under Menu Bar > View > Layout > Message Pane ( Unchecked ) that way you don't need to worry about accidentally dragging it into sight.

Update: I take that back, even when unchecked you can accidentally reset the Message Pane to 'checked' by simply dragging it up. *sigh*

Note: For some odd reason you won't see this check - uncheck status if your in the Local Folder, but it will register.
You will see it in any other folder below, for instance I'm in my 'Inbox'
