with a VPN will firefox still block ads with adblock plus?
looking into a VPN, a topic on which I am ignorant but learning. so if the VPN does not feature ad blocking will my browser still run ablock plus and other security apps I have?
info about VPNS is overrwhelming one must admit. Using windows 10 here.

your browser extensions shouldn't usually cause issue with VPN. I regularly use VPN with all of my browser extensions turned on, never had any issues - including ad blocking extensions.
VPN basically secures your connectivity & hides your IP. Your browser extensions continue to do their job, what they are supposed to. I have my AV turned on & all my extensions - never had any conflicts

I sometimes use a VPN and when it's ON the adblocking extensions continue to work just fine; there's no interaction between them AFAICT.

No, a vpn will cloak your browser and browsing, it's like being in a cloaked Klingon warship. Hackers can't find and websites have a more difficult time tracking you.
