Are they serious about disabling download menu ???? Downloads now start without asking for options. Any way to return it ?

    browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel

TRUE means that the new download behavior is active in Firefox.
FALSE means that the classic behavior is enabled in the browser.

    Depends on file type, seemingly.
Some give just the Save File option, some give Save/Open option.

ISO and tar.gz and .msu and .mkv get Open/Save dialog
.zip and .cab and .pdf get no dialog.

.exe and .msi get only a Save file dialog.

That's all I can think of at the moment.
