immersive rearder reading aloud: disable screen dimming ?

i would like the whole immersive reader window to remain undarkened while it's reading the text aloud.
is it possible to disable that on the page that it's reading the text aloud?

Basically i would prefer the page not be faded.

is there a registry variable to add or change or an Edge flag ?

If for example you only want a particular theme when using the immersive reader, have you tried setting the "Page themes" under "Text Preferences" when the immersive reader is active (it also gets saved the next time you use the reader on another page so you see the same theme there as well).

Hello Das10, it's not a theme problem, they all do it.

it's the fading of the whole page other than that 1 line in the attached screen shot above that i was talking about

i would prefer the screen remain unfaded as it is reading aloud. hence why i suggested a reg hack or chrome flag. it is not possible in the current version of the browser's settings.

Yes, I see what you mean. Unfortunately I haven't come across any edge flags/policies/reg entries which can allow for configuring that effect. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

pn: If we start the reader using the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+U , then at least partly, it does not darken the rest of the screen (but then the screen isn't so immersive, and still it highlights the words!).
