Edge wont open on i7 11th Gen

    Edge wont open on i7 11th Gen


    How is everyone doing? We have an issue that has arisen in the past few days. We have multiple computers with the 11th Gen i7, and all of them are having issues getting Edge to run. I have tried the following things:

    Uninstall Edge and reinstall

    Reset Edge

    Repair Edge

    Turned off Smart Screen

    Did a clean boot

    Tried running Edge in inprivate mode

    Deleted user profile

    Deleted edge folder in %appdata%

    Checked edge updates

    Scanned for Malware

    Cleared cache

    None of these things resolved the issue. Can someone please help me figure out how to get Edge working again? Here are our current updates:

    OK that is everything I can think about posting. I appreciate any and all help.

    - "getting Edge to run" meaning it will not launch ?

    - other browsers work and no other system problems ?

    - Did you check Windows Reliability Monitor for any codes in addition to Event Viewer ?

    - May want to consider updating to the latest Win10 version 21H2 on one machine to see if any difference.

    Correct, it will not launch.
    All other browsers are working with no issues.
    I have not checked Windows reliability Monitor. I will do that and report back.

    Upgrading to Win10 21H2 is a last resort. We would have to have all the computers returned to IT and then update each one. One by one. This is something I'm hoping to avoid.

    OK, so I have verified that the culprit is the Microsoft edge update 1.3.153.53. I had another laptop that was not updated. After the update was ran Edge stopped working.

    We ran the latest updates and it resolved the issue.

    I verified that KB5007186 resolved this issue
