please make W10 autofill my usernames & passwords

Dear W10 users, How do I get windows 10 to remember and auto fill my usernames and passwords ? Also, in (if) replies to this post, will notification be 'automatically' sent to my email ? Thanks for your Help Chrysanthem7

Your question is missing quite a lot of detail, what exactly do you require and from which apps/ services?
If talking about Edge and auto filling payment info, address, contact number and login passwords then there are several options where you can add/ edit that information in Edge, Settings, Profiles. I would expect most other browsers to have similar features. As for Email notifications, from where? Usually that is an option provided by the 3rd party web sites. Again some more detail of your requirements would help us to help you.

Hello Chrysanthem7 and welcome to TF ,

Windows 10 doesn't have a mechanism for auto-filling usernames and passwords like web browsers do.

You should get an email notification when new posts are made to your subscribed threads based on your tenforums settings you selected for your account.

Depending on the site, autofill may be a security risk for your personal information.

May want to consider a password manager. LastPass seems to be popular.

Hey, you all: Pejole, Steve and Csun. Im huntin and peckin, as used to be said. Thanks for your help. Ive found that the page up and page down scrolls here in the forum, but was hoping to use this convenience when scrolling thru Spotify playlists. I use my laptop for music outside--hooked up to a REAL stereo. But, alas, it looks like it will still take both hands (I dont use a mouse)

As for the 'autofill' question I asked, Im perplexed that here on the LenovoLaptop, I must presently enter my password each time I log into gmail. Chrysanthem7

It would be better if you keep your responses in their respective threads that you created The other one is where you asked about scrolling, etc.

Are you using a browser to log into gmail? Which browser? You have to configure it to remember passwords if you want to do that.

Edge for example refuses to save gmail and it does not have an option to do it manually.
In this case you might try to login to YouTube and by it, google should be saved as well.

If you want a system wide password manager, you might try Bitwarden

To TirikuOkami: tho' it's a bit over my head, I appreciate your reply---thanks

To Steve108: Ooops, sorry for crossing over my inquiries So here on the saving of passwords topic, I dont know what a browser is. I use both an iMac desktop and it is the new Lenovo Laptop that Ive been trying to better understand. It's the laptop which is requiring me to enter my gmail password each log in. So far as I know, Ive set up 'DuckDuckGo' as an intended 'shield' from giving away my information when Im on line, so perhaps that is what youre calling my 'browser' Do let me know if there may be settings you know of that would accomodate the saving of my passwords (particularly for gmail) Thanks for your help

Let's confirm something: you are using your Gmail address/password to log into your Windows PC?

This thread has become a bit disjointed, I think we need to go back a few steps ...

Which username and password? (not what it actually is, but what are you using it for ...) ?
    - when you sign in to your computer?
    and/or
    - when you access a web site (if so, which web site)?
    and/or
    - what web browser do you access your Gmail account from?

Remember, we can't see what you're doing and what your screen looks like when you're doing it. You need to help us a bit more.
