    Thunderbird IMAP Question

When I delete a message from the Inbox, the message is deleted from the server - just as it should.

However, if I move a message from the Inbox to a Local Folder, the message is not deleted from the server and the header is again downloaded to the Inbox.

Is there a way to configure Thunderbird to delete messages from the server when they are moved to a local folder?

The only "fix" I've found so far is to copy the message from the Inbox to the Local Folder and then delete the message from the Inbox. This works - sort of - but it's clunky.

Never had that happen over the 10 years of IMAP with and ISP email and now with an outlook email (two different PC's & accounts). Could not find a setting that would do this.

Have your tried a reinstall of TB?
