All notifications links are all of a sudden bad links

On the right side of my chrome browser there is a notifications section

UP until yesterday I would get notifications that a youtube poster would have a new post or a reddit post was new or I would get feed back from a comment that I left.

Starting yesterday afternoon any time I click on the notification link I get 404 errors and in the description like it states the link is a bad link.

However I can go to the youtube subscription page and access the links there.

Yesterday I sent something to r/youtube and left a post about notifications being a crap shot. Sometimes I would get notifications and sometimes not. As soon as I posted that post and Automatic reply came up and said I should report it as a bug to google. And since that reply came back I haven't been able to use the notification links to access youtube files.
I can get to stuff but shortcuts don't work anymore.

    @ pericles

Yes I am Getting Notifications that is not the problem. The problem is now ever time I click on the link it says the link is bad and gives me a 404 error which means the file cannot be found.

And "Allow Notifications" is enabled on the sites you visit ?

Don't know, sounds like a problem with the site and not your system. As you stated, may won't to report to Google and check their forum (if they have one).

yes all notifications are enabled. It is a glitch somewhere down the line. I was just hoping that someone else had the same problem. Usually when I try to get an answer from Google anything it is a lost cause. Maybe the problem is the chrome browser. I closed out my browser and shut down my computer. The one thing I haven't done is rebooted my router or my modem. I guess that is another step to take. Thank you

Okay I think I have narrowed down the problem . It is not a browser problem it is a Windows 10 Notification problem. The notifications setting is corrupted. I normally use Google Chrome browser. There is a notifications button on the main page of GC and I click on those notifications and they are working fine. I am in the process of moving to Windows 11 so I will just have to wait until I download the new version of the Windows OS.

I have also found my notification area seems to be not operating properly. If I get a notification of a youtube link that normally would have opened, I now get the message that the page could not be found and this applies to all youtube links.

Check the above link and note the rec to run sfc/scannow.

From reading, Win11 is not the "smoothest ship sailing at present", may have issues there. Good Luck !

In my notifications area I am advised that there is a new item, it is a link to a you tube clip associated with a website I frequent. Previously when I would click on the link it would open the page now all I get is the message shown in the attachment.

    @ Exfso

I tried to attach that same image that you loaded. Every blasted time is all I get now. I am giving up with notification-action from windows now. I am now just clicking on the notifications Bell from youtube webpage. I can also go through the subscription links also. Extra steps but what are you going to do ???????????? Since you use MS Edge then it can't be a browser issue. To get Ten Forums messages I am just going to windows webmail. I don't use the webmail for much I prefer gmail.com for my email. Windows Defender runs scans on a daily or at least every other day and nothing is coming up about a virus.

Other people have tried to be helpful but all their suggestions relate to NOT GETTTING NOTIFICATIONS. But you are having the same problem I am having. The Action center is showing the notifications but when we click on the link we are getting the goofy monkey with the magnifying glass and #404 errors which means the file or link cannot be found.
