    Popups in Edge

I have never seen the number of popups in the Edge browser before. Is there anyway to stop the crap?

You could try using extensions such as Adblocker or AdGuard - almost all extensions available for chrome work on ME as well, as they are both on Chromium - if you are open to using them. I have them installed in all of my browsers due to a nonsense by one of my ISP, who sneaks in ads if I visit a non-https site.

    +1 for AdGuard.
    There’s also Ghostery.

Does anyone install "Guardio" on Edge?
It is supposed to block adds and popups.
    Thanks

In the first case go to your Edge Web Browser settings.

Settings > Cookies and site permissions > All permissions.
    Notifications > Ask first
    Pop-ups and redirects > Blocked
    Ads > Blocked

I only have 2 exceptions under Pop-ups so those 2 websites work properly.

Have no additional extensions in Edge, unfortunately they do tend to be problematic, Ad blockers need updates etc.
Chrome is configured in a similar way, unsurprisingly.

    most important info
    nothing else really matters

there are chrome extensions that block all kinds of popups of all kinds, that fixes it
better to just use chrome but most users it doesnt really matter what they for anything

No ad blocking discussions. This site depends on ads to pay for the costs of running and maintaining it.

Of course any adblockers mentioned have the option to ignore any site. This one should be added to the ‘allow ads’ list.
