MS Edge - Add to Favourites Not Working

I am having trouble with my MS Edge browser in that I cannot add a new website to Favourites. When I click on the icon "Add this page to favourites" on the address bar the website isn't saved to the favourites folder I select (or any other folder for that matter). I have also tried it via the Favourites icon outside the address bar but still no joy. Because I had quite a large number of favourites stored in that folder I deleted a few that I no longer use thinking maybe I had too many but that has made no difference.

    I am running Windows 10 V.21H1 (Os Build 19043.1237)

It does work, however you will find it puts the Favourite at the end of the list if you scroll down the relevant Folder.

Personally I would prefer it to be more obvious at the top, but that is how it places them.

No it's not that Helmut. That was my first reaction as that is how previously added favourites have behaved but not this time. I did some investigating and the page I was trying to add to a folder in Favourites had in fact been added to the Favourites Toolbar, even though I did not specify that when I tried to save it. However when I try to move it from there to the desired folder it removes it from the Toolbar but the page still doesn't appear in the folder I want it to be in. Frustrated dot com!!
