    printing emails

Is Microsoft taking cognizance of the problems listed in the Windows 10 forum?? I have downgraded to Win 8.1 and hesitate to upgrade until print problem fixed.

These aren't official Microsoft Forums, so the chances they'd be watching them are pretty low. If I could ask, "what print problems?"

These Forums are definitely not monitored by Microsoft.
They got every available engineer on the "helpdesk" at this moment where millions of computers are upgraded every hour.
if only 0.1 percent of them have an issue, they still need over 100.000 people to answer the phone :)

Printing issues are commonly caused by driver issues or by Microsoft Windows selecting the wrong "Default" printer.
Make sure to look at your printer(s) and try to print a TEST page.
Also make sure that printers you don't need (like a fax printer and different other virtual printers that microsoft installs by default) are deleted.
Right click on the printer that you need (and is printing the test page) and make it your default printer.
    That should solve the issue

When your printer is very old.... try to go to the manufacturer website and search for drivers that are compatible with Win 8 or above
chances are that the printer is too old.

Another issue might be the way the printer is connected.
Are you using a USB cable?
Are you sure it's connected, switched on and has paper and ink?

    Good luck

Thank you for that. The Canon printer I have is definitely not new.

I was not able to print emails, may have found the problem, at least for me.
    Open Edge
    Click Settings
    Select Devices
    Select Add Printer or Scanner
Scroll down to Devices and Printers
W10 was using XPS Doc Writer as the default, change and make your printer the default

    Hope this works

I have solved my problem (blush, blush). The reason I was not able to print emails (the print menu did not display the PRINT function at the bottom of the menu) was directly related to the fact that I altered the text size to 125%. I reverted to 100% and this solved my problem. Thanks for all suggestions received.
